Well all that is in the past now, either way I am going to be out of school for at least a month. I am now sick with malaria. I am giving you all the responsibilities while I am gone. You will be coaching one of the famous singers in your class. You will be assigned a singer as your client to teach over the next few weeks. Please find your singers name below:
Your goal is to research what top singing performances entails in the following areas:
Joy and Pleasure: How do you teach this? What would represent clear evidence of joy and pleasure while performing? How can you develop these elements?
Over Pronunciation or Enunciation: hoe does this translate on your face? Can you be word-specific? Which exercises did you develop in order to solve specific issues?
Physical Communication: Body movements and choreography. How does it help you to commit to the song? Why do you give more to the audience this way? Is there still anything holding you back? If so, any idea on how to overcome this last hurdle?
You will use this information to work with your clients in these areas. Your goal is to prepare the three songs you selected in view of your best performance ever! The songs are: "Take a bow", "Tattoo" and "Broken strings".
Make absolutely sure to research ALL three topics. Take notes using the resources below as starting points. If you use new resources, make sure to list them as below. You will be expected to post your findings under your own page name on this site and present your most remarkable findings when called upon.
All four criterions will be graded with specific rubrics designed for Criterion A and B.
